WHAT WE DO
From full design to food garden coaching.
We work with families at every stage — starting from scratch, ready for an overhaul, or just trying to figure out why the tomatoes keep dying.
Landscape Design & Installation
We walk the whole property with you, build a plan for this specific space, and see it through to install.
Garden Consulting
A one-time consult covers the whole yard. You’ll leave knowing what to keep, what to pull, and what to plant next.
Food Garden Setup
Raised beds that actually produce. We know what grows in Concord clay and what survives August in Pleasant Hill.
Garden Coaching
Five sessions across a growing season. We’re there when something dies, when you’re not sure what to plant next.

LANDSCAPE DESIGN & INSTALLATION
Lemon & Clay Gardens started with a small backyard orchard in Concord — a home and a garden that changed how our family lived, and planted the seed for what a well-designed garden could become. We design outdoor spaces for families in Contra Costa County who want that same thing: gardens that thrive in this soil, built for our real, messy, beautiful lives, and designed to grow with the people you love. From our family to yours.
From our family to yours
We started with a small backyard orchard in Concord. One garden changed how our family lived, and the rest followed. We design for families like ours: busy, rooted here, and ready for a yard worth coming home to.

We'd love to help you get started.
Your kids will love pulling food right out of the ground
Raised beds, edible landscapes, seasonal planning. We know what produces in Concord clay, when to plant it, and how to set up irrigation that keeps things alive when August hits.
HOW WE WORK
What makes Lemon & Clay different
We started with a small backyard orchard in Concord. One garden changed how our family lived, and the rest followed. We design for families like ours: busy, rooted here, and ready for a yard worth coming home to.
01
Rooted
We know which plants fold in 108-degree August heat and which ones don't. This specific microclimate, this clay soil, this corner of the East Bay. That hyper-local knowledge shows up in every recommendation.
02
Growth
The garden grows. So do the kids in it. We think a well-designed garden is good for all the people in it — today and 10+ years from now.
03
Generosity
We teach – we don't just execute. We built the coaching package, the planting calendars, and the ongoing consultation option so families understand their garden and can help it succeed, long after you've met with us.
